Bernd Fennel founds Fennel KG as a tool and die-making business in a garage in Bad Oeynhausen-Wulferdingsen.

Production prcesses: Plastics and metal finishing, surface techniques such as printing, powder coating, sanding, polishing and modular assembly. Fennel takeover of Balda GmbH. In 1999 the Company successfully goes public as Balda AG on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
